James Ronald “Brownie” Abston, 67, formerly of Columbia, died Monday, January 19, 2015 at 5:20 A.M. at the Golden Living Center-Green Hill in Greensburg

He was born November 11, 1947, in Adair County, to the late Beecher and Nora Shearer Abston, was a former custodian for the Adair County School System and a painter.

Survivors include:
Two sons – Jackie & Timmy Abston both of Indiana
One step-son – Chad Perkins of Owensboro
Four brothers – Charles “Granny” Abston, Paul Abston & Ricky Abston all of Columbia, David Abston of Indiana
Two grandchildren

Funeral service – Thursday, January 22, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with Bro. Michael Helm officiating

Burial in Union Cemetery

Visitation after 5:00 P.M. Wednesday
