Rosella (Starke) Hancock

Rosella Hancock age 81 of Columbia, Kentucky passed away on Friday, October 06, 2023 at Baptist Health Lexington. Rosella was born on September 08, 1942 in Taylor, Nebraska to the late Orin Starke and Martha Locker Starke. She was a member of Trinity Church and was a former employee of Modern Vending. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Lonnie Edgar Hancock in 2013 and two brothers Larry Starke and Rudy Starke.

Rosella enjoyed crafting and baking, especially when she could share it with others.  She could cook a meal for a crowd and make it look easy.  She was loved by many and will be missed very much.

Survivors Include:

Two Daughters- Donna Hancock of Lexington, KY and Ellen Woolery and husband Ed of Richmond, KY

Three special young men- Grandson, Eddie Woolery, Great-Great Nephews, Cy Yarberry and Brody Brock and a special niece, Ashtin Jessie

Sisters-in-law- Pat Starke of Alliance, NE, Jennifer Starke of Bury St Edmonds, England, Vera Burris of Columbus, IN and Carolyn Sue (Rick) Perry of Flora, IL

Brothers-in-law- Gerald (Martha) Hancock of Columbus, IN, Jay Reed (Nancy) Hancock of Lexington, KY, Jeff (Patricia) Hancock of Russell Springs, KY and Ronnie (Danette) Hancock of Columbia, KY

Several nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends also survive

A memorial graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at Haven Hill Cemetery with Bro. Steve Pescosolido officiating
