Ruth Hortense Johnson

Ruth Johnson, 91, of Glasgow, formerly of Adair County, died Tuesday, May 12, 2020 at the Glasgow State Nursing Facility.

She was born October 18, 1928 in Adair County to the late Bruce Diddle and the late Susie Johnson.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Johnson, one daughter, Judy Johnson, and four sisters.  Ms. Johnson was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, was a former employee of several healthcare facilities and a homemaker.  She was a loving Mother, Wife and Grandmother. 

Survivors Include:

Two Daughters – Sharon (Vince) Willis of Jeffersonville, IN & Jane Johnson of Columbia

Four Grandchildren – Deshan Curry & Ethan Woolridge both of Columbia, Shawn Johnson & Trevia Crume both of Richmond, KY

Five Great-Grandchildren also survive

In compliance with the mandated social distancing order given, the visitation will be Saturday, May 23, 2020 from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with the funeral at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. Michael Caldwell delivering the Eulogy.  Attendees are encouraged to follow instructions given.  The family is requiring that a facial covering be worn.
