Sarah June Nave Shanklin, 85, of Columbia, Kentucky, died Friday, June 9, 2023 at Summit Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation in Columbia.


She was born March 18, 1938, in Bedford, Pennsylvania, to the late Glen K. and Vera Nave. June was retired after 33 years at Westlake Cumberland Hospital where she was head of housekeeping and laundry, an avid quilter and a member of Charity Baptist Church.


Survivors include:


Her husband of 64 years – Robert Shanklin


Children – Bill, Barbara (Larry), Steve (Carol), and Becky (Tony)


Grandchildren – Mandy, Valarie, Brandon, Reba, Jessica, Cassidy, Dalton and Sherrie


Great Grandchildren – Bishop, Ella, Evie, Riley, Macie, Asher, Carson, Mila, Ezra, Ragnar, Ronin, Rune, Blake and Sarah


Siblings – Elsie, Alma, Lee, Duke, Kenny, Joe, Jack and Harry


Visitation on Sunday, June 11, 2023 from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. with a Graveside service to follow at Haven Hill Cemetery with Brandon Nokes officiating
