Sheila Jean (Franklin) Parson

Sheila Parson, 71, of Columbia, Kentucky, died Thursday, January 18, 2024 at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.

She was born August 12, 1952, in Chicago, Illinois, to the late James A. and Orlena Sneed Franklin.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Willard Parson, Jr., one brother, Allen Shirley and one sister, Margaret Reitz.  She was a member of New Concord Community Church and a homemaker.

Survivors include:

Her husband – Willard Parson of Columbia

Her son and daughter-in-law – Anthony and Sandy Parson of Columbia

Five grandchildren – Joseph Garner (Heather), Angela Marllow, Nikita Richardt (Aaron), D.J. Kirkendolph (Nicole), Jerry Lucitta (Kandy)

23 great-grandchildren, a host of other relatives and friends

Funeral service – Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at 1:00 P.M. at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with Bro. Larry Brown officiating

Burial in Haven Hill Cemetery

Visitation after 4:00 P.M. Monday
