Sherry Lynn (Burton) Rodgers

Sherry Lynn Burton Rodgers, age 50, passed away at the University of Kentucky Hospital on Thursday, August 28, 2025.

She was born in Pahokee, Florida on December 24, 1974.  She was preceded in death by her mother, Eva Viola Wiseman Burton.

Sherry enjoyed a career in medical billing and was deeply dedicated to her work. Above all, Sherry was a faithful servant of the Lord and an active member of her church, where her kind heart and unwavering faith touched many lives.

On February 12, 1993, Sherry married the love of her life, Kevin Rodgers and together they built a life full of love and devotion.  She was the proud mother to her daughter, Lynnsey Vandeventer and son-in-law, Justin Vandeventer.  Her greatest joy was being “Nana” to her granddaughters, Kinsley and Madilynn Vandeventer, who were the light of her life.

In addition to her husband, daughter, son-in-law and granddaughters, Sherry is survived by her father and step-mother, David and Mona Burton, her two brothers, Davey Burton (Nikki) and Nathan Burton, her niece, Brooklyn Burton, her nephew, Easton Burton and many other relatives and dear friends who will cherish her memory.

Sherry will be remembered for her love of family, her gentle spirit and her enduring faith.  She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
