Thomas Downey

Thomas Downey, of Columbia, died Monday, March 11, 2019 at the Summit Manor Nursing Home.

He was born in Adair County to the late Marvin & Thirsie Keltner Downey.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Wesley Downey, four brothers, Hollis, Kenneth “Buck”, Coy & Arlin Downey, and two great-grandchildren.  He was a truck driver.

His Wife – Beverly Hale Downey of Columbia

Two Sons – Danny Downey (Lisa Kemp) & Chad Downey (Brooke) all of Columbia

One Daughter – Debbie Bryant (Terry) of Columbia

One Brother – Jimmie Downey of Columbia

Five Sisters – Evon Legg, Brenda Hatcher & Geneva Homes all of Columbia, Deana Stone of Tuscola, IL & Zenith Hatcher of Hume, IL

Four Grandchildren & Six Great-Grandchildren also survive

Thomas had requested that there be no public visitation or funeral service.  All services will be held privately for the family.
