William “Billy” Murrell Willis, 67, of Columbia, Kentucky, died Monday, June 8, 2026 at T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow, Kentucky.

He was born February 27,1959, in Adair County.  He graduated from Adair County High School and earned a Master’s Degree in Horticulture from Western Kentucky University.  He was a life long farmer and a member of Columbia United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his father, William “Billy” Chatman Willis.

His mother – Bessie Combest Willis of Columbia

His sister – Sherry Willis Cowherd and husband David of Campbellsville

His nieces – Carrie Cowherd Gupton and husband Joe, Jessie Cowherd Brockman, Rebekah Cowherd Renner and husband Isaac

His great-nieces and great-nephews – Ella, Maggie and James Gupton, Theodore and Simon Brockman
