Wilma Jean Coomer

Wilma Jean Coomer, 90, formerly of the Morris Chapel community, died Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at TJ Health/Columbia

She was born October 18, 1932, in Adair County, to the late William J. and Patry Parnell Coomer.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Maxie Coomer, a daughter, Phyllis Faye Coomer, a sister, Louise Meadows and by one granddaughter and one great-granddaughter.  She retired from Fruit of the Loom and was a member of Morris Chapel Church.

Survivors include:

Three daughters – Tina Runell Coomer of Columbia, Connie Sue Shirley (Rondal) of Edmonton and Donna Gail Coomer of Edmonton

Nine grandchildren – Melissa Ervin (Marty), Tony Shirley (Bridget), Kenneth Shirley (Julie) all of Edmonton, Thomas Shirley (Kara) of Millerstown, Michelle Bradshaw (Alan) of Russell Springs, Jeremy "Mo" Coomer (Jennifer) of Columbia, Maria Shirley, Alma Shirley and Iliana Shirley all of Edmonton

19 great-grandchildren, 22 great-great grandchildren, several other relatives and friends

Funeral service – Saturday, March 11, 2023 at 1:00 P.M. at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with Bro. Danny Wayne Sexton officiating

Burial in Morris Chapel Cemetery

Visitation after 4:00 P.M. Friday
