Zada Sneed, 97, of Columbia, died Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at 12:40 P.M. at the Westlake Regional Hospital Emergency Room.

She was born March 22, 1918, in Adair County, to the late Willie W. & Nellie Janes Burris.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lemon Sneed on September 20, 1972, one brother, Kalup Burris, three sisters, Zelma Crawhorn, Magdalene Sneed & Ruby Compton, two grandchildren, Michael & Chad Compton, and two great-grandchildren.  She was a member of Jones Chapel United Methodist Church and a homemaker.

Survivors Include:
Three Sons – Bobby (Mildred) Sneed, Ralph (Janice) Sneed & James Sneed all of Columbia
Two Daughters – Jean (Dulath) Baker & Frances (Gary) Estes all of Columbia
Two Brothers – Clavis “Short” Burris & Tom Burris both of Columbia
One Sister – Lucille Reece of Indianapolis
Eight Grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, six step-great-grandchildren & two step-great-great-grandchildren

Funeral Service – Friday, May 29, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Moon & Bro. John Blakey officiating

Burial in Jones Chapel Cemetery

Visitation after 4:00 P.M., Thursday
