I send my deepest sympathy to the entire Family. Always remember the special moments that you spent with. Please find comfort in what the Bible says about the opportunity of seeing your love one again under the very best of conditions right here on the earth: 'Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out." (John 5:26, 28, 29)

His stories, his laugh and smile and enthusiasm for life. Rick was a blessing to all of us that touched his spirit. Go with God, brother. Until we meet again in that city of light.

Peace to his family and friends.

To The Family of Rev. Eric Johnson,
Jackie I am so sorry to here of your husbands sudden passing. I had the privilege and honor of making his acquaintance just a few years ago. A very sweet spirit of a man. He was recently at our church, First Baptist Church Campbellsville, and he was humbled to minister to us with a number of songs. He played the keyboard and was overjoyed in his offering to the Lord. I never expected that would be my last time seeing him alive down here but I am happy to say that because of his conviction and submission to The Lord he is much alive and we shall meet again! Until then, Jackie, take care of yourself and know that God does love you and He is always there for you.

Rev. Gwendolyn Robinson

I met Rick at Morningside College in 1966. He was banging out some Ray Charles tunes in the dorm lounge with real authority and he got my attention ! We wound up starting a group that continued successfully for most of Rick's undergraduate career , sparking a brand new direction for Rick. He thanked me in a phone conversation we had not long before his passing for " discovering " him and gave me way too much credit. Rick was a great singer and keyboard guy : I just got lucky when I stumbled into him ! We had some adventures in that original band ! It was my pleasure to be part of Rick's life on occasion, fishing , hunting and camping with him and just staying in touch. I am blessed to have been in his life.
