David Hoover, 74, of Columbia, Kentucky, died Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at 2:05 A.M. at his residence

He was born May 2, 1942, in Adair County, to the late Gordon “Buster” and Agnes Pruitt Hoover.  He was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving during the Vietnam Era and a carpenter.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother; Nyle Hoover and two sisters; Brenda Sue Hoover and Sherry Campbell.

Survivors include:

Two sisters – Betty Dowell and Faye Kelsay both of Columbia

A special nephew who David thought of as a son – Justin Wallace of Columbia

Several other nephews, nieces and friends

Cremation has been chosen and a memorial service will be held Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at the Burbridge Cemetery with Rev. Elbert Hadley officiating. 

V.F.W. Post 6097 will present full military honors following the service
