Dr. Thomas C. Morrison, 96, of Palm Harbor, Florida, passed away Friday, October 20, 2017 at his home. He was born September 20, 1921, in Cumberland County, Kentucky to the late Thomas C. Morrison, Sr. and Clara Williams Morrison. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four sisters, Virginia Wayman, Ruth Morrison, Wanetta Jones, Lyla Baker and a beloved son-in-law, Dennis Hann.
Dr. Morrison spent his entire career in higher education. He taught at the University of Kentucky and University of Connecticut before going to Morehead State University, Morehead, Kentucky, as head of the Department of Economics. He retired in 1986. He was a long-time member of the Palm Harbor United Methodist Church.
He was a veteran of the United State Army Air Corp who served 41 months during World War II as an Aircraft Dispatcher stationed at Great Bend, Kansas.

His wife of more than 76 years – Betty Walker Morrison of Palm Harbor, Florida
Two daughters – Dr. Jeanne Morrison Hann of Tempe, Arizona, Paula Morrison (Alton) Frasier of Macon, Georgia
Three grandchildren – Chris (Jenny) Nolan of San Tan Valley, Arizona, Dr. Margaret Frasier (Dr. Steve Dornbos) of Shorewood, Wisconsin, Katherine (Dan) Oros of Chesterfield, Virginia
Six great-grandchildren – Ryan Nolan, Alexis Nolan, Grant Oros, Blake Oros, Zeke Dornbos, Gino Dornbos
Two brothers – Aaron Morrison and Hayden Morrison
Two sisters – Geneva Morrison and Vicki Ryan
Many nieces, nephews and friends
Funeral service – Thursday, October 26, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with Rev. William Davenport officiating
Burial in Haven Hill Cemetery
